Study duration and Semesters arrangement

Generally four years are for undergraduate schooling. The flexible duration caused by admission reserved due to illness, suspension of schooling, etc. is no longer than eight years. The learning time in school is not allowed to exceed two years than the actual majors prescribed academic years. Preparatory learning is not reckoned in the flexible duration.

Every academic year is divided into two long semesters and one short semester. Long semesters are 18 weeks (including test) for theory courses, experiments, scattered practice, graduation design (paper), etc. The short semester is about 4 weeks for military training, technics practice, productive fieldwork, course design, large-scale experiments and other gathering practice activities. It also includes the language enhance training, computer application intensive training, and some less-class-hour courses.
